On Sunday, July 28, 2019, my life changed forever.
My beloved husband, Dr. Ralph McEwen, suddenly passed away from an aortic dissection.
In one moment… everything I knew, everything I had built, and everything I depended on shifted.
Like many strong women, I found myself still needing to function… to make decisions… to move forward—
while carrying a level of grief I had never experienced before.
But in that deepest place of pain, God met me in a very personal way.
He led me to Isaiah 57:1–2—a passage I had never noticed before—and through it, He gave me a supernatural peace that did not make sense… but sustained me.
Instead of becoming consumed by grief, I made a decision—
not to ignore the pain… but to walk through it with God.
In that season, I began to:
- Write songs
- Journal deeply
- Process my emotions in a healthy, faith-centered way
And over time, something began to shift…
Not overnight.
Not without tears.
But steadily and intentionally.
I began to experience peace again.
Clarity again.
Purpose again.
And from that sacred journey, a calling was born.
Today, I help women who have lost their husband navigate this unthinkable season—
so they don’t stay stuck in survival mode…
…but instead begin to rebuild their life with clarity, strength, and renewed purpose.
